Manufakturet has three Ultimaker 3 printers capable of a 215 x 215 x 200 mm build volume and these, when installed in the lab, will be the most readily available for use. There are also three Up Plus 2 printers and a Form SLA printer which are under maintenance and/or planned for future installation.

Staff and students are required to attend an introduction course before using the Ultimaker 3 printers. If you are on the waiting list (see form below) we will get in touch when the next available intro course is taking place.

3D Printing Prices in Manufakturet

All the printers in Manufakturet are loaded with PLA in nozzle 1 and PVA in nozzle 2.

When setting up Cura:

• Ultimaker 3
• PLA - nozzle 1: AA, 0.4

• PVA - nozzle 2: BB, 0.4 (Only if you intend to use PVA)

We charge by the gram.

You can see the weight of your print in Cura, before printing:

After ’slicing’ your print, the weight of the print and the length of filament will be displayed.

Use this value to calculate the price according to the formula below, using the weight of PLA and PVA in grams:

⌈10 + 0.5 * PLA + PVA] DKK

So the example pictured to the left would cost 22 Kr.

If your print is unsuccessful, please make an estimate of the amount of material used and pay accordingly.

The 3D printing intro course is a pre-requirment for using the 3D printers in Manufakturet.

To sign up for an intro course students should physically drop by Manufakturet, in groups of 5, and arrange a date and time with either Peter or Jesper.
